1. Who we are

KN Apps Studio is an independent app developer (Kartik Nakrani) based in India. For any privacy question or request, email help@knappsstudio.com.

2. Our privacy principles

• No accounts. You never need to sign up, so we don't ask for your name, email address or password to use any app.
• On-device first. Scanned documents, PDFs, translation history, favourites and preferences are stored on your device, not on our servers.
• No selling. We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
• Only what's needed. We collect the minimum technical data needed to run, improve and support the apps.

3. Information we process

Depending on the app and the features you use, this can include:

• Content you choose to process. For example, text, voice or images you submit for translation in AI Translate are sent securely to Google Cloud Translation to be translated. PDF Scanner processes your documents entirely on your device.
• Usage and diagnostics data. Anonymous usage statistics, crash logs, app version, operating system and device model, used to fix bugs and improve the apps.
• Device and advertising identifiers. In free versions that show ads, an advertising identifier and approximate (city or region level) location may be used to serve and measure ads, subject to your iOS tracking settings.
• Purchase and subscription status. If you buy a subscription, Apple processes the payment. We receive only the subscription status, never your card details.
• Network information. Zentra VPN necessarily processes your IP address while you are connected in order to route your traffic, without keeping activity logs.
• Support emails. If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

• To provide the features you use, such as translation, scanning or a VPN connection.
• To fix crashes, measure performance and improve the apps.
• To manage subscriptions and, in free versions, to show and measure ads.
• To keep our services secure and prevent abuse.
• To answer your support requests and meet legal obligations.

6. Third-party services

Our apps use trusted providers, each under its own privacy policy. Not every app uses every service; each app's policy lists exactly which ones it uses.

7. This website

knappsstudio.com does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and has no sign-up or contact forms. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of the request. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved only in your own browser. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and reliability.

8. Data retention

• On-device data: kept until you delete it or delete the app.
• Crash reports: typically kept for up to 90 days.
• Analytics and diagnostics: kept for up to 14 months.
• Support emails: kept only as long as needed to help you.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. You can also:

• turn off personalised ads in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking;
• delete in-app data at any time, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device;
• manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings;
• email help@knappsstudio.com with any request. We respond within 30 days.

10. Children's privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security and international transfers

We use encrypted connections and reputable providers to protect information. No system is completely secure, but we work to fix issues quickly. We are based in India and our providers operate in several countries, so information may be processed outside your country, with appropriate safeguards where required.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the apps. Continuing to use our apps after an update means you accept the updated policy.
